How might we set up an environment where everyone feels empowered to participate in meaningful conversations?
The world of work was changing before 2020, but the conditions caused by the pandemic heighten organisations’ sensitivity around employee care and engagement. Over the past 2 years, management’s understanding of the power and importance of an engaged workforce has evolved. The focus has shifted from streamlining and re-engineering processes in the workplace to employee retention and engagement.
In a world where dispersed and distributed work forces connecting remotely will remain, it may be more difficult to deal with the communication requirements of a diverse population. Whether cultural, cognitive, psychometric or lifestyle choices, organisations are striving to ensure that each person feels comfortable, respected, and accepted enough to add the value that creates meaningful conversations. Conversations that move the bar in the organisation; that challenge the status quo with new perspectives; that prioritise discussions about value-enhancing measures.
About Kitchen Table Conversation
